The Storyteller of Pain Loren Molloy Books
I loved this book - I couldn't put it down, and was able to finish in a few hours. The story had a great pace and interesting characters. Definitely some creepiness/some gory parts, so probably not for someone who easily scares!I would LOVE to read a sequel! :)

The Storyteller of Pain Loren Molloy Books Reviews
Another thrilling horror novel by Loren Molloy...this one follows Dr. SinClair in her journey to discover the mystery surrounding one of her patients who repeats the same riddling statement...which leads the good doc down a road filled with mystery and evil.
I met Loren at a horror convention over the past summer where she was promoting her books, so because of her great personality I purchased The Storyteller Of Pain! The book did not disappoint! I read it in one day because I could not put it down!, and Loren puts so much detail into the story that you become one with the book! It’s definitely one everyone should read!
I'm not completely familiar with the author but I would certainly reward more from her. The story sometimes gets a little jumbled together but that's something that a good editor can help with. The insane asylum is a good setting that I wished we explored a little more but she keeps the story moving well dispite my minor complaints.
In the end, the story is a little predictable but still there is some fun to be had.
Uncaged Book Reviews
Be warned, this story is violent, and the author does not hold back on the descriptions. I did guess pretty quickly in the story what was going on, but I did not guess the outcomes and the author does a nice job making me squirm a bit. Always a good thing with horror.

QUICK SUMMARY
>relatable
>well-paced
>bloody genius
>deliciously scary
The Storyteller of Pain is a horror novel that preys on a question I have asked myself many times; are mental illnesses just chemical imbalances, or is there something else to it? It is fair to begin by saying that author Loren Molloy knows how to hook you to her stories. The Storyteller of Pain definitely sucks you in right from the start and gets you to ask questions. I was excited from the very first chapter to get to know Delia, one of the main characters, along with Lilian, our protagonist. Her story takes flight and continues rushing making you want more and more.
On her opening pages, I found myself feeling undertones of Clive Barker’s “Books of Blood”, constantly thinking of the quote “Everybody is a book of blood; wherever we're opened, we're red.” which made it so hard for me to put the book down. Also to be noted, this was a very light read, myself finishing the book in under 3 hours which made it all the more enjoyable. I find that Author Loren Molloy doesn’t complicate her stories, you’re never struggling to keep up, you’re not bouncing back and forth between multiple scenes, and almost the entirety of the story was one smooth straight line that gave you just enough to stay attentive yet eager for more.
Her characters are relatable, though I will admit at some points I felt they were going a little too fast. Nothing that is unbelievable but enough to make me stop and think about their pace and authenticity. Obviously, I decided they were nothing out of this world, as I finished the book without further issues.
“There was a memory and a promise of blood in the air.” -Clive Barker
The Storyteller of Pain does not spare you the gritty, gory, and horrific details. Personally, one of the reasons why I follow Molloy’s works so closely. She is unafraid to be explicit, and she is not here to make anyone comfortable. (If you’re looking for comfort, why are you in this genre anyway?)
All in all, The Storyteller of Pain is a book I will be happy to go back to, much like The Very Devil, Herself!. I want to see more of this universe, of John and Lilian in their new and adjusted life. That isn’t something you can achieve with ease in these kinds of works.
Thank you for this captivating read!
